CANTON — Justin A. Aldridge, 23, of 48 Williams St., Gouverneur, and Nicole M. Barr, 18, of 20 Janes Road, were charged by state police Saturday following an alleged fight at Ms. Barr’s home.

Mr. Aldridge was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, criminal mischief, criminal contempt, criminal possession of a controlled substance and acting in a manner injurious to a child.

Ms. Barr was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

During their fight, the pair allegedly hit each other, and Mr. Aldridge put his arms around Ms. Barr’s neck, according to state police.

Mr. Aldridge was sent to St. Lawrence County jail on $5,000 bail. Ms. Barr was issued an appearance ticket for Canton Town Court.
