LAFARGEVILLE — Timothy S. Carpenter, 48, of 39977 County Route 13, is ordered by state police to appear in town of Orleans Court to answer a charge of issuing a bad check.

Police said he is accused of bouncing a check for $86.19 at LaFargeville Market.
