The New York State Police are reaching out to the public via social media.

Superintendent Joseph A. D’Amico announced Monday that the public can now interact with state police on Facebook and Twitter.

The division’s page on Facebook is nyspolice and on Twitter it is at @nyspolice.

A Twitter or Facebook account is required to gain access to the pages.
