A Watertown man was arrested Thursday afternoon after city police alleged he entered a car owned by and “operated by” a woman.

Michael T. Heaney, 50, of 1815 Olmsted Drive, Apt. 226-C, is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle. Police detained him to await arraignment Friday in City Court.

He was arrested at 6:50 p.m. in the 500 block of State Street, about 20 minutes after the alleged incident. Police said he entered a 2012 Toyota Camry belonging to Amanda O’Keefe, town of Pamelia.

No other details were provided by the police department.
