Watertown High School athlete Kendall Vecchio will sign a letter of intent today to play NCAA Division I mens lacrosse for Johns Hopkins University.
Vecchio, who played for General Brown last spring but has transferred to Watertown, is scheduled to sign at 4 p.m. at the Italian-American club.
Vecchio was one of the top scorers in the Frontier League during the 2012 season with 22 goals and 17 assists. He was third on the Lions in scoring.
■ Carthage senior Zakiya Saunders is slated to sign her Division I letter of intent to play for the University of Albany womens basketball team today.
Saunders, who made the Times All-North first team last season, will sign at 2:15 p.m. in the Carthage Junior High cafeteria.
Saunders averaged 16.4 points, 11 rebounds and 5.3 steals per game last season.
