Andrew and Joanne Barella, Evans Mills, announce the engagement of their son, Joshua Barella, to Lauren Free, both of Clifton Park, Albany.

Miss Free, daughter of David and Wendy Free, Clifton Park, graduated in 2005 from Shenendehowa High School, Clifton Park, in 2009 from SUNY Plattsburgh, with a bachelor’s degree in childhood and early childhood education, and in 2011 from the University at Albany, with a master’s degree in childhood education in literacy. She works at Sylvan Learning Center, Albany, and Saratoga County Economic Opportunity Council Head Start, Saratoga Springs.

Mr. Barella graduated in 2005 from Indian River Central School, Philadelphia, and in 2009 from SUNY Plattsburgh, with a bachelor’s degree in English writing. He is employed by First Niagara Bank, Albany.

A November 2013 wedding is planned.
