CANTON — Shawn L. McGregor, 36, of 41 Grantville Road, Norfolk, was charged by state police at 9:44 p.m. Tuesday with issuing a bad check.

Mr. McGregor allegedly passed a bad $84 check at Kunoco Food Mart.

Mr. McGregor was sentenced to five days in St. Lawrence County jail for violating his parole for an earlier incident.
