POTSDAM — Mark J. Dzwonczyk of Mountain View, Calif., has been elected to the Clarkson University board of trustees.

Mr. Dzwonczyk is CEO of Nicholville Telephone Co., whose subsidiary, Slic Network Solutions, is providing broadband Internet access to residences and businesses throughout Northern New York with its high-speed fiber-optic network.

He graduated from Tufts University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and earned a master of science degree in aeronautical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also studied information systems at Stanford University.

He will serve on the external affairs and internal affairs committees.
