Parishville-Hopkinton quiets Madrid-Waddington

PARISHVILLE — Zach Brock stopped three shots as the Madrid-Waddington boys soccer team earned a 2-0 shutout over Parishville-Hopkinton (8-3-2 overall, 7-3-1 division) in a Northern Athletic Conference East Division boys soccer game Tuesday.

Colin O’Bryan scored in the 18th minute and Terry Crump added a goal in the 29th minute for the Yellow Jackets (7-5-2, 7-3-1).

CHATEAUGAY 3, ST. LAWRENCE 1

Devin Willis scored the go-ahead goal in the 44th minute as the Bulldogs (9-3-3, 9-3-1) defeated the Larries in an East Division game in Brasher Falls.

Tyler Jones and Chad Stalter also scored for the Bulldogs. Kody Kocsis scored the first goal of the game for the Larries (2-9-2, 2-8-2).

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 4,

ST. REGIS FALLS 2

Cody Bond, Ian St. Andrews, Zeb Brown and Kolby Munson all scored for the Flyers (2-12, 2-11) in an East Division win over the Saints in Norwood.

Caleb Green scored both goals for the Saints (2-11, 2-10).

LISBON 5, HERMON-DEKALB 0

Adam Kelley scored three goals to help the Golden Knights defeat the Demons (3-11, 3-9) in a West Division game in Lisbon. Erik Berstorff and Jake Putney also scored for Lisbon (11-2-1, 9-2-1), and Jimmy Robinson made five saves for the shutout.

HARRISVILLE 5, CLIFTON-FINE 0

Jared Dreythaler connected for two goals and one assist as Harrisville shut out Clifton-Fine (1-11) in a West Division game at Star Lake. Tim Fowler provided one goal and two assists for Harrisville (11-4, 11-2). Nick Weird and Joey Butts also scored for Harrisville. Zane Mono made two saves for the shutout.

HEUVELTON 6, MORRISTOWN 3

Aaron Cobb’s three goals sent the Bulldogs (10-3-1, 9-3) past the Green Rockets in a West Division game in Heuvelton.

Joe McDonnell scored two goals, and Jack Tennant also scored for Heuvelton. Dakota Marshall produced two goals for Morristown (4-6-1), and Zach Kanaly also scored for the Green Rockets.

EDWARDS-KNOX 3, HAMMOND 0

Richard Finnerty stopped five shots to help the Cougars shut out the Red Devils (2-11, 2-10) in a West Division game in Russell.

Chris Davison, Brent Archer and Ryan Gollinger scored for the Cougars (9-5, 9-4).

OFA 1, POTSDAM 0 (OT)

Nate Peo headed in a pass from Peyton Lalone in the second overtime period to help the Blue Devils edge the Sandstoners (8-3-1, 7-2-1) in a Central Division game in Ogdensburg.

Jacob Sias made six saves for OFA (5-4-3, 4-2-3) and Ryan McDonald had 14 saves for Potsdam.

MALONE 2, CANTON 1

Connor Dailey and Aaron Sharlow scored goals in the second half to lead the Huskies (9-3-1, 6-2-1) past the Golden Bears in a Central Division game in Malone.

Jake Watson scored a late goal for Canton (6-3-4, 4-2-4).

MASSENA 7, GOUVERNEUR 0

Forest Brockway and Joshua D’Souza each scored two goals as the Red Raiders routed the Wildcats (1-11-2, 0-9-2) in a Central Division game in Massena.

Evan Kassian, Dylan Stone and Jesus Hernandez also scored for Massena (5-3-5, 3-2-5).

GIRLS SOCCER

LISBON 2, HERMON-DEKALB 1

Beth Crowley assisted on the first goal and scored the second as Lisbon (9-3-2, 8-3) edged Hermon-DeKalb in a West Division game in DeKalb Junction.

Maddison Vine also scored for Lisbon. Casey Smith scored for the Demons (8-5, 6-5).

HAMMOND 5, EDWARDS-KNOX 0

The Red Devils scored three goals in the first four minutes of the game and defeated the Cougars (2-12, 2-9) in a West Division game in Hammond.

Alyssa Crosby, Lauren Workman and Taylor Bowman scored during the early flurry for Hammond (9-5, 9-4). Courtney Bova scored the final two goals for Hammond, and Cassie Whalen made seven saves for the shutout.

HEUVELTON 7, MORRISTOWN 1

A four-goal effort from Alexis Weidner helped the Bulldogs (12-2-1, 11-1-1) defeat the Green Rockets in a West Division game in Morristown.

Hannah Thornhill, Shelby Williams and Katelyn Lashomb also scored for Heuvelton. Taylor Piercey scored for Morristown (0-12).

HARRISVILLE 5, CLIFTON-FINE 1

Kathleen Coloney scored three goals for the Pirates (10-4-1, 9-3-1) in a West Division victory over the Eagles in Harrisville.

Janel Swanston and Georji Baker also scored for Harrisville. Alexis Pomerville scored for the Eagles (2-10).

COLTON-PIERREPONT 5,

ST. REGIS FALLS 0

Madison Gregg scored twice for the Colts in an East Division win over the Saints (0-13, 0-6) in St. Regis Falls.

Kylie McKinley and Morgan Doyle also scored for the Colts (4-8-1, 2-2). Kathryn Miller made nine saves for the shutout.

MADRID-WADDINGTON 2, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 1

Katie Marcellus scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 69th minute as the Yellow Jackets (6-3-2, 4-2) edged the Flyers in a North Division game in Madrid.

Taylor Lenney also scored for Madrid-Waddington. Emily LaRoe scored for the Flyers (6-6-1, 4-2).

BRUSHTON-MOIRA 2,

TUPPER LAKE 0

Ashley Debeer made two saves as Brushton-Moira shut out Tupper Lake (6-6, 2-4) in a North Division game in Brushton. Kenzie Traynor and Rachel Tower scored goals for the Panthers (7-4, 3-1).

OFA 2, POTSDAM 1

Shannon Tooley scored the game-winning goal for OFA (5-3-4, 4-3-2) in the 67th minute in a Central Division victory in Potsdam.

Ali Miller also scored for OFA. Annette Rishe scored the first goal of the game for Potsdam (6-5-2, 4-5-1).

MASSENA 1, GOUVERNEUR 0

Marissa Manley made three saves to lead the Red Raiders past the Wildcats (3-7-4, 2-6-3) in a Central Division game in Gouverneur.

Shannon Casey scored off a pass from Dominique Valancius in the 38th minute for the Red Raiders (11-1-1, 9-0-1).
