HOGANSBURG — The goal of the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino is to become a resort within the next six months.

Progress toward that goal has been made with the opening of the west main entrance, which will become the gateway to the expanded Sticks Restaurant and the gift shop.

“The entrance is beautiful and we are extremely excited to show our new renovations to the community and our guests,” Director of Marketing Frank Allen said.

The construction took about three months and included landscaping of the front of property as well as re-facing of the pillars under the porte-cochere.

The next unveiling is close as the plans are to open the gaming expansion and its center bar cascades in early November, just before the holiday season.
