Republican congressional candidate Matt Doheny went to General Brown High School on Thursday and ate a school lunch to experience first-hand the effects of new federal calorie limits.

Here's my prior post on Mr. Doheny's displeasure with Democratic Rep. Bill Owens' vote on the matter.

Using Wally Siebel's scale, I'd say Mr. Doheny would give the meal zero forks.

"My campaign manager and I had to get a snack after lunch," Mr. Doheny said.

He said that he ate a small burger on a wheat bun, with baked beans, peaches, and some non-fat chocolate milk (his beverage choice was an effort at fitting in, Mr. Doheny said).

"It's not working," Mr. Doheny said. "Students were pretty clear. When you see the hamburger, a small patty with a wheat roll, with a little lettuce and tomato. I was only allowed two ketchup packets. Swear to God."
