State Sen. Joe Griffo, R-Rome, and former governor David Paterson shared some wisecracks in an ad to help support an organization for the visually impaired.
The commercial promotes an event called Dark Dining, a silent auction of artwork by the visually impaired that will take place in New Hartford.
In the commercial, Mr. Griffo asks Mr. Paterson for some pointers on zingers.
"I'm governor for three years," Mr. Paterson says. "You make the the butt of all your jokes. And now you want me to help you?"
Responds Mr. Griffo: "It's not like I'm asking for Yankee tickets!"
"I don't want Dark Dining to go in the pits," Mr. Paterson says, "or as I call it, New Jersey."
