Watertown Mayor Jeff Graham spared no feelings in the critique of his friend Matt Doheny's congressional campaign, summing up much of the effort as "more [bovine droppings]."
Check out the whole post here.
Mr. Graham, a longtime ally of Mr. Doheny who is never afraid to disagree even with his fellow travelers, described the Doheny ads against Democrat Rep. Bill Owens as "cookie cutter."
Mr. Graham is calling for a fresh approach, and, ever the deficit hawk that he is these days, he wants Mr. Doheny to go after Mr. Owens on deficit and debt issues.
"Going broke is an easier concept....Might want to try that one, as nobody believes the national noise," Mr. Graham writes. "Of course, I am cynical and jaded...But so far the polls bear me out...The public is willing to vote for fiscal insanity because the candidate preaching it is either a rock star or at least charmingly avuncular."
The election is Nov. 6.
