Republican Senate candidate Wendy Long will make a north country swing on Oct. 3, attending a meet-the-candidates event at the Freight House in Ogdensburg.

Also attending are Matt Doheny, who will face Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh; state Sen. Patty Ritchie, R-Heuvelton, who will face Democrat Amy Tresidder; and Assemblyman Marc Butler, R-Newport, who will face Herkimer County Democrat Joe Chilelli.
