A Watertown man was taken to Samaritan Medical Center for treatment of neck pain after being involved in a two-vehicle accident Thursday evening at William and Academy streets.
City police said John W. Hart, 60, of 646 Academy St., was traveling west on Academy Street about 5:40 p.m. when he stopped at a stop sign at William Street. As he proceeded through the intersection, his vehicle was struck by one operated by Nicole M. Harville, 22, of 237 N. Pearl Ave., who police said was unable to stop her vehicle due to faulty brakes.
Neither Ms. Harville nor two children in her vehicle was injured. No tickets were issued.
