GOUVERNEUR A Gouverneur woman who was arrested by village police at 7:32 a.m. Wednesday faces charges in two cases.
Nicole L. Yaw, 30, of 152 Grove St., was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and sixth-degree conspiracy, both misdemeanors.
Ms. Yaw was stopped by police Wednesday morning on East Main Street and found to be driving with a revoked license, police said.
She also is accused of conspiring with her husband to commit second-degree criminal contempt, with which Kevin M. Yaw, 32, was charged by Tupper Lake village police Sept. 5.
Mrs. Yaw allegedly accepted seven phone calls from her husband while he was an inmate at St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in violation of a stay-away order issued on her behalf.
More charges are pending in the case, Gouverneur police said.
Mrs. Yaw was released on her own recognizance.
