CHAUMONT — Jordan VanBrocklin finished off a crossing pass from Ian Kearns to score the game-winning goal as Alexandria defeated rival Lyme, 3-1, on Saturday in a Frontier League “D” Division boys soccer game.

Kearns finished with two assists, setting up Ray Dickhaut’s goal in the first half for the Purple Ghosts (2-0, 2-0).

After VanBrocklin’s tally, Nick Shangraw tallied an unassisted goal to complete the scoring for Alexandria.

Christopher Strough made five saves for the Purple Ghosts.

Christian Sanford finished with five stops for the Indians (0-2, 0-2).

SACKETS HARBOR 2, BELLEVILLE HENDERSON 0

Eric Chrostowski scored the game-winning goal and goalie Jake Flagg made five saves to record the shutout as the host Patriots blanked the Panthers in a “D” Division encounter.

Brian Elliott scored on a penalty kick for Sackets Harbor (2-0, 2-0).

Hayden Peterson made five saves for Belleville Henderson (0-2, 0-2).

WATERTOWN 3, S. JEFFERSON 0

Brad McKinney provided two assists to help the Cyclones earn a Frontier League crossover win over the Spartans in Adams.

Tim Peters, Jake Calender and Matt Olney supplied the goals for Watertown (2-1, 1-0).

William Beese made 12 saves for South Jefferson (0-2).

IHC 4, GENERAL BROWN 1

Chris Rowland finished with two goals and one assist to help guide the Cavaliers to a crossover victory at Dexter.

J.P. McClusky and Jake Fusilli also scored, and Jarrod Smith made two saves for IHC (2-0).

Nicco Springer scored from Ryan Sheridan for General Brown (1-2).

LOWVILLE 6, SOUTH LEWIS 0

Dylan Roes and Kody Rosales scored two goals apiece to lift the Red Raiders past the Falcons in a “C” Division matchup in Turin.

Greg Panowicz and Wyatt Carpenter each added a goal for Lowville (2-0).

Ryan Teal and Shawn Loomis each finished with three saves for South Lewis (0-3).

MALONE 3, MADRID-WADDINGTON 0

Aaron Sharlow scored two goals in the first half and was named the Most Valuable Player as Malone blanked Madrid-Waddington (1-1) in the title game of the Jeffers Tournament at Potsdam High School.

Connor Dailey scored the other goal for the Huskies (2-0) and Austin LaMay made seven saves for the shutout.

POTSDAM 6, COLTON-PIERREPONT 0

Chris Stone scored four goals in the first half to lead the Sandstoners past Colton-Pierrepont (0-2) in the consolation game of the Jeffers Tournament. Dan Cruikshank scored the final two goals for Potsdam (1-1) on direct kicks in the final five minutes of the game.

GIRLS SOCCER

POTSDAM 3, MADRID-WADDINGTON 0

Nettie Rishe scored twice and was named MVP as the Sandstoners shut out Madrid-Waddington (1-1) in the title game of the Jeffers Tournament at Potsdam High School. Sierra Gagnon also scored for Potsdam (1-0-1) and Breanna Sapp tallied seven saves for the shutout.

COLTON-PIERREPONT 2, ST. LAWRENCE 1

Madison Greg scored the game-winner in the second half as the Colts (1-1) edged St. Lawrence Central in the Jeffers consolation game.

Lindsey Thayer scored the first goal of the game for the Larries (0-1-1) and Hayle Hennessy tied the game for the Colts.

PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 10, ST. REGIS FALLS 1

Parishville-Hopkinton’s reserves produced seven goals in a nonleague game.

Victoria Collins scored two goals and added an assist, and Emily Sloan and Casarra Cole all delivered a goal and two assists for the Panthers (2-0). Kodi Perkins, Jenna Converse, Rachel Remington, Kelly Putman, Sophie Norman and Alyssa Sloan netted single goals. Kayla White scored for St. Regis Falls.

CROSS COUNTRY

SPARTANS SWEEP INVITATIONAL

South Jefferson senior Nicholas Tyler won the boys South Jefferson Invitational, and Spartans sophomore Skylar Pastor won the girls race at South Jefferson’s 5k Course.

Tyler finished the race in 17 minutes, 49 seconds, while Pastor came in at 21:59.

South Jefferson also captured the girls team title with 17 points placing five runners in the top seven.

Beaver River captured the boys team title with five top-10 finishers.
