Motorists accused of driving while intoxicated

The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Anthony M. Frederico, 44, of 537 Mill St., was charged with aggravated DWI as a result of his arrest at 1 a.m. Sept. 2 in a sobriety road check on the 200 block of Mill Street. Watertown police listed his blood alcohol content as 0.18 percent.

A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

■ Darci L. Altmire, 30, of 27405 Route 12, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. Sept. 2 in the 200 block of Mill Street and had a BAC of 0.14 percent, city police said.

■ James D. Krambuhl, 31, of 2453 Thomas Road, Port Leyden, was charged by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies at 1:55 a.m. Sept. 2 on Route 12 in the town of Leyden. His BAC was 0.15 percent, deputies said. He also was charged with failure to keep right, crossing hazard markings, operating without safety glass and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, which deputies said stemmed from a license suspension from a conviction Aug. 1 on a charge of driving while ability impaired by alcohol.

■ Brandon S. Gilley, 18, of 22252 Route 11, Watertown, was arrested by Watertown police at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Franklin Street, and also faces charges of driving at a speed not reasonable or prudent, making an unsafe start and failure to use designated lane. His BAC was 0.10 percent, police said.

■ Vincent P. Gilbert, 25, Boonville, also was charged by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies with speeding and failure to keep right at 1:50 a.m. Friday on Route 12 in the town of Leyden. He had a BAC of 0.14 percent, deputies said.

■ Jeffrey J. Zawataski, 27, Larksville, Pa., also was charged by Watertown police with making an unsafe lane change and failure to yield the right of way when entering a roadway at 2:35 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of Black River Parkway. His BAC was 0.17 percent, police said.

■ Darrin A. Cowher, 22, of 22513 Willowbrook Drive, Watertown, was charged by state police with failure to keep right about 11:55 p.m. Friday on Route 37 in the town of Pamelia. His BAC was 0.10 percent, troopers said.

■ Bryan J. Martin, 22, of 6954 Sweeny Road, Grieg, was charged by state police in Lowville with aggravated DWI about 11:40 p.m. Friday at his residence. His BAC was 0.19 percent, police said.
