Tom and Mabel Walker, the former mayor and first lady of Watertown in the late 1980s and 90s, will hold a fundraiser for Republican congressional candidate Matt Doheny.

The soiree takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 26 at the Black River Valley Club. The campaign is aiming for small-dollar donations — between $25 and $200, or "other."

Mr. and Mrs. Walker are still active in local politics.
