FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - MASSENA - Village police picked up Mitchell K. Shield, 23, of 3909 Evan Road, Hannibal, Mo., on a fugitive from justice warrant from the state of Missouri at 2:40 a.m. Tuesday at Massena Memorial Hospital. The warrant alleges Shield is wanted on a felony aggravated stalking charge in Audrian County, Mo. Police said they were called to Massena Memorial on a suspicious person complaint after a female at the hospital reported she had been approached by two men seeking a place to stay for the night. She told police the behavior of one of the men made her extremely uncomfortable. Police said when they investigated the complaint they determined Shield was wanted in the state of Missouri. He was arraigned by Acting Massena Village Justice James M. Crandall and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility for up to 30 days pending extradition proceedings in St. Lawrence County Court.
