SYRACUSE The Syracuse mens basketball team will open its 2012-13 season with exhibition games against Division II foes Pace and Bloomsburg in the Carrier Dome.
The Orange and the Pace Setters will square off on Thursday, Nov. 1, and SU will host the Huskies on Sunday, Nov. 4.
Syracuse is coming off one of the most successful seasons in program history. The Orange were 34-3 overall and won the Big East Conference regular-season title with a 17-1 league record. Syracuse reached the NCAA Tournaments Elite Eight before losing to Ohio State.
Pace finished last season with an overall record of 13-14 and an 11-11 mark in the Northeast 10 Conference.
Bloomsburg was 19-9 overall and 15-7 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference a season ago.
