A Watertown man was charged Saturday morning with breaking two windows on a vehicle parked in the driveway of his residence.
Mark R. VanAllen, 39, of 418 Arsenal St., Apt. 3, was charged by city police at 8:10 a.m. with third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. It is alleged that about 7:45 a.m., he used a wooden board to smash two windows on a 1994 Toyota pickup truck in his driveway. Police reports did not name the owner of the truck.
It is further alleged that once at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Mr. VanAllen initially refused to sign a fingerprint card after being given several opportunities to do so and then made an inappropriate notation in the space provided for his signature. He is due to answer the charges in City Court.
