Supporters of the Historical Society 500 will gather from noon to 3 p.m. today at the Jefferson County Historical Society, 228 Washington St., for a thank you reception for participating in the fundraiser.

With coordination from the Watertown Daily Times, the Historical Society 500 fundraiser raised more than $30,000 toward the historical society’s operational and structural expenses. About 540 people donated to the cause.

The agency’s original goal was to get 500 people to donate $50, for a total $25,000.
