Leslie D.S. Evans, 17, of 155 Francis St., was charged by Watertown police Thursday night with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.

He is accused of damaging both taillights, a headlight, side mirror and driver’s-side door of a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina belonging to his father, David W. Evans, same address, earlier in the day.

Police said Mr. Evans kicked the door, threw rocks at the car and hit the vehicle with a wooden board, causing more than $250 in damage.

He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment in City Court.
