Breaking from the department of Dog Bites Man (a tag I'll use for all future DBM-esque endorsement posts): U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., has formally endorsed Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, for Congress.
"Residents of Essex, Washington, Warren and Saratoga counties whom I used to represent would be well-served to have Bill Owens represent them in Congress next year," Mrs. Gillibrand said in a news release.
Said Mr. Owens: “Senator Gillibrand and I share a common desire to work across party lines, expanding economic opportunity and doing what’s right for our farmers, veterans, seniors and the middle class."
Mr. Owens faces Republican Matt Doheny on Nov. 6.
