The public will be allowed to view portions of three restricted wildlife management areas from Aug. 18 to 30, according to a release from the state Department of Environmental Conservation.
The wetland areas that will be open to the public are the Perch River site in Jefferson County and the Upper and Lower Lakes and Wilson Hill sites in St. Lawrence County.
For most of the year, the wetlands are off limits to protect migratory waterfowl.
For more information about the open period, contact the DECs regional wildlife office at 785-2263 or visit www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/8282.html.
