A Watertown man was charged Saturday evening with disorderly conduct after he allegedly was a traffic hazard in Public Square.

City police said Brian G. Arnold, 41, of 206 Franklin St., walked into traffic at 6:21 p.m. on the north side of Public Square, causing several vehicles to stop quickly to avoid hitting him.

Mr. Arnold is to appear in City Court.
