Matilda T VanNamee passed away on July 10th of 2012 at the Good Shepherd Hospice Facility in Auburndale, Florida. Matilda was born on 11/22/29 to Vena M Decosse and Ezra W Janack in Star Lake, NY. She married Calvin C Smith on 05/14/47 at St. Huberts in Star Lake, NY. She married Charles B VanNamee on 12/28/74 at St. Anthony’s in Newton Falls, NY. Matilda is survived by her two daugthers, Bonnie L and Gary Hodge of Lake Wales, Florida and Nancy M and John Russell of Cranberry Lake, NY. She is also survived by 2 sons Clark W and Margaret (Peg) Smith of Star Lake, NY, and Brian D and Betty Jo Smith of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A funeral mass for Mrs. VanNamee will be at 12:30 PM on July 21st, 2012 at the St. Huberts Church in Star Lake, NY. She had many interests, including reading and crafts. She was a communicant of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales, FL and previously of St. Huberts Catholic Church in Star Lake, NY. She is predeceased by her parents, Vena and Ezra Janack, two husbands, Calvin Smith and Charles VanNamee, and a son, Paul. Donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice Facility at 105 Arneson Avenue Auburndale, FL or to the Clifton-Fine Hospital in Star Lake, NY. Arrangements for Mrs. VanNamee are with the Hawley Funeral Home.
