"Matthew Arquitt, 44, of 18 Smith St., Gouverneur, was being held under $100 bail Tuesday in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building after being accused of shoplifting at Walmart Supercenter, Route 11, town of LeRay.

He was arraigned before town of LeRay Justice George E. Mead III on allegations that he attempted to leave the store shortly after 5 p.m. Monday with items priced at a total of $118.49, according to state police. He is charged with petit larceny.
