HENDERSON — John W. Deans, 68, Sackets Harbor, former president of Jefferson Community College, Watertown, was treated Wednesday night at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, after his car struck two light posts off County Route 123 in the town of Henderson.

State police listed diabetic emergency as the cause of the accident.
