Assemblywoman Janet Duprey has a big fundraising advantage over Karen Bisso, her Sept. 13 GOP primary opponent.

Ms. Duprey, R-Peru, reported raising $32,000 in the first six months of 2012, to end with $34,000 on hand. Ms. Bisso, a Clinton County special education teacher, raised $4,600, leaving her with $1,200 cash on hand.

Campaign finance reports for Tim Carpenter, a Plattsburgh city councilman, were not available on Monday.

The state Conservative Party won't give Ms. Duprey its line on Nov. 6, because of Ms. Duprey's vote to approve gay marriage. It endorsed Ms. Duprey on Friday.

Ms. Duprey didn't face a Republican primary challenger in 2010, but she handily defeated a Conservative and Democratic opponent that year.

Donors to Ms. Dupery include: Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward, who is not running for re-election. She gave $4,100. The state union representing corrections officers also gave her $2,500.

Ms. Bisso lent her own campaign $2,000.
