CANTON — A St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office investigation into a Madrid burglary is under way.

A gun safe, which contained a Smith & Wesson .357-caliber stainless steel revolver and a Rohm RG .22-caliber Magnum revolver, is believed to have been stolen within the last week, deputies said. Two $2 bills and a $50 1993 savings bond were also taken.

Anyone with information can contact the Sheriff’s Office at 379-2222.
