MACOMB A house at 1755 Lead Mine Road was destroyed in a fire Saturday.
Three people lived in the home, owned by Charles and Donna Washburn.
Emily Washburn was sleeping in a downstairs bedroom when she was wakened by a smoke detector. Flames were entering her room, and she escaped through her bedroom window, reporting the fire from a neighbors house.
The Gouverneur Fire Department responded at 11:21 a.m., with assistance from Richville, Morristown and Oxbow departments.
They arrived to find the entire front of the house in flames.
Emily Washburn was treated for smoke inhalation by Gouverneur Rescue personnel.
No other injuries were reported.
The St. Lawrence County Fire Investigation Team is still investigating the cause of the blaze.
