Phillip D. LaValley, 33, of 128 N. Hamilton St., was charged by Watertown police at about 4 p.m. Wednesday with fourth-degree grand larceny and petit larceny.

It is alleged that on June 16 he stole $959 from Erika M. Parody, same address, by taking her bank debit card and making several withdrawals from her account without permission while staying with her. He was additionally charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after police said he possessed a glass pipe containing residue of the drug. He is due to answer the charges in City Court.
