GOUVERNEUR— A Gouverneur man who allegedly violated a restraining order was arrested at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Robert C. Johnson, 26, of 34 Fox Farm Road, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt by Gouverneur-based state police.

Mr. Johnson allegedly had a woman who holds an order of protection against him over to his home, where he was arrested. Troopers did not release the woman’s name.

Mr. Johnson was taken to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, and held on $3,500 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
