David J. Parker, born in Watertown, NY on January 6, 1955 to Robert E. and Jean (Swengel) Parker of Sandy Creek, NY. David graduated from Sandy Creek High School, Northfield Mount Hermon and St. Lawrence University. David served as the Director of Operations for the Blount Lumber Company, as a Corporate Distribution Manager for Climax Manufacturing Company, and later in the building trades specializing in historic restorations. David served on the Board of Directors for the National Wood Window and Door Association. He was the Past President and member of Board of Directors, Pulaski Health Center. He was an Eagle Scout and a volunteer for Habitat For Humanity.

David was happiest when he was helping others. He was a true family man and took great joy in mentoring his sons. He was an avid and successful NYS ranked sailor and a talented craftsman. He also deeply enjoyed hiking, skiing, photography, tennis, basketball, and his yellow Labradors Alexandra and Jasmine.

He is survived by his wife, Kristin Wallace of Mt. Pleasant, SC and his sons, Robert J. Parker of Boston, MA, Christian J. Parker of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Zachariah Wallace-Wright also of Mt. Pleasant, SC. David is also survived by his parents, Robert and Jean Parker of Watertown, sisters, Janice P. Parker (James) of Naples, FL and Henderson Harbor, NY, Pamela Parker Bird (William) of Little Falls, NY and brother Michael E. Parker (Mary) of Darien, CT and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Parker was predeceased by Kelly Jurgens Parker.

A celebration of David’s life will be held Thursday July 5th at 3 pm in Stow, MA. His remembrance will be on Sunday July 8th at 11am on the lawn at the Henderson Harbor Yacht Club, Henderson Harbor, NY. Please visit our website for additional information and to leave online condolences.
