Rose J. Frangione, 86, 1131 Academy Street, passed away, Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Samaritan Keep Home where she had been a resident since February.
Mrs. Frangione was born June 23, 1926 in Watertown a daughter of Joseph and Tessie Grieco Pepe. She graduated from Watertown High School. On July 23, 1966 she married Richard L. Frangione at St. Anthonys Church. Mrs. Frangione was employed with the Robert Hall Department store, Kinney Drugs and as a bookkeeper for nineteen years with Friendlys Restaurant. She was a communicant of St. Anthonys Church and a former member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed bingo, traveling, attending concerts, was exceptional at crocheting, loved animals especially her poodles and was happiest when spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving besides her husband are a son James and his fiancé Barbara Styles, Marathon, NY, a daughter and her husband Julie and Robert Bush, Watertown, three grandchildren, Ravan Bush, A.J. Worden and Nicholas J. Frangione, three brothers and their wives, Frank and Thelma Pepe, Carmen and Charlotte Pepe, all of Watertown and Robert and Clare Pepe , Colorado, several nieces and nephews. Two sisters Anne Oddi and Mary Storie died before her.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7pm at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A prayer service will be held Friday at 9:15 am with a 10 am funeral mass at St. Anthonys Church with Reverend Donald Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
