MASSENA — David A. Lawrence, 22, of 227 Main St., Apt. 2, was arrested by village police at 5:03 a.m. Saturday on a charge of criminal mischief.

He is accused of using a hatchet to break an illuminated light in front of the Massena Mental Health Center.

He was arraigned in Town Court and sent to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $2,500 bail.
