MASSENA - At least three people were transported to area hospitals following a two-vehicle accident late Friday morning at the intersection of state Route 37 and Haverstock Road in Massena.

New York State Police were on the scene to investigate the accident. Also on the scene were the Massena Volunteer Fire Department, Massena Rescue Squad and Seaway Valley Ambulance.

Traffic continued to flow in both directions on Route 37 while rescue personnel worked to remove the victims from both vehicles.
