PULASKI When Joseph Holynski backed his 2004 Toyota Camry into a building at an Oswego County transfer station to deposit trash, he went too far late Monday morning, state police said.
He crashed through a rear metal wall, causing his car to plummet 25 feet to a land depression behind the building. The car ended up on its roof, police said.
Mr. Holynski, 65, of 308 Valley Road, was pulled from the wreckage and was taken to Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, where at midday Tuesday he was listed in fair condition.
The 11:25 a.m. accident at a facility located at County Route 2A and Centerville Road remains under investigation.
