Watertown- Winifred B. Brass, age 102 of Watertown and formerly of Dexter passed away Friday morning at Samaritan Keep Home.
Winifred was born May 9, 1910 at Baggs Corners Ton of Hounsfield the daughter of Fred and Jennie Robbins Boulton. She graduated from Dexter High School and Dexter Teachers Training School. She taught school at Smithville until she married Carl S. Brass on July 15, 1930. She then sold products for Stanley Home Products and later Tupperware.
She was a member of Dexter United Presbyterian Church and 1st Presbyterian Church of Watertown.
She is survived by four children: Mrs. Lloyd Eleanor Fralick of Watertown, Sanford and Norma Brass of Star Lake, Robert Brass of Rome, Barbara Brass of E. Hampton. She has 17 grandchildren and numerous great and great- great and great great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Carl who died April 22, 1999, brothers Fred Boulton, Robert Boulton, and sisters Gertrude Heasley and Getty Sprague.
Funeral services will be Monday 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Donations may be made to Jefferson County Historical Society or the East Hounsfield Library.
