McCreadie enjoys great weekend on tracks

Watertown native Tim McCreadie followed up his World of Outlaws late-model series win on Saturday night with a second-place finish Sunday night.

Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., took the lead from McCreadie on Sunday on lap 44 of the 50-lap feature at Eriez Speedway in Hammett, Pa.. McCreadie was second and collected $5,700 for his race team in the series race. Tim Fuller of Watertown was 24th.

On Saturday, McCreadie rolled to his second win on the tour this season at Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway, earning $10,650 for his race team. Fuller finished 10th.

■ Several of the top modified drivers are expected to compete Wednesday night at Can-Am Motorsports Park in LaFargeville during the 2012 SUNY Canton Snootout. Racing begins at 7:15 p.m. as the modified drivers will be seeking the top prize of $3,000. The first small-block modified to cross the finish line will receive a $500 bonus. Racing will also be held in sportsman, pro stock, street stock challenge and a thunder car event will be included.

■ Randy Mooney won the truck division feature Saturday night at Evans Mills Speedway. Other winners were: Chris Zieren (legends); Dan Swem (thunder stocks); Bill Gill (open class); Dalton Lampson (junior division); Chris Typhair (super stocks) and Billy Matteson (thunder cars).
