CHAUMONT — George L. LaRose of Chaumont, NY died on Friday, June 15th after a Courageous battle with cancer. Born in Syracuse, George graduated from vocational high school in 1960. Moving to Chaumont he was employed with the City of Watertown.

He enjoyed family, fishing, hunting, and volunteer fire service (former Chaumont fire chief).

Survivors who will cherish his memory are: his wife of 46 years, Millie (Davis); sons Todd (Diana), Scott (Gina); Sister Sheila (David) Turverey; four grandchildren and three step grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County at 1398 Gotham St, Watertown, NY 13601.

Private graveside services are in the care of Becker-Cleveland Funeral Home.
