LOWVILLE The Lewis County Office for the Aging has set a senior picnic for this week.
The event will be held Friday in the Forest Park Pavilion at the Lewis County Fairgrounds, Bostwick Street.
The theme is a Hawaiian luau, with theme-centered games and activities to begin at 10 a.m.
Leah M. Schneider, the countys mobility manager, will give a presentation on the public transit system at 11 a.m. and one of the buses will be on display throughout the day.
A Hawaiian-themed meal, including marinated chicken breast and a Hawaiian cake, will be served at noon. Tickets for the lunch cost $6 each and are available from any congregate meal site, senior club member or the Office for the Aging, Shady Avenue.
Kinsey Schaefer will also do a hula-hoop performance from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
