Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies charged Francis T. Wadsworth, 38, of 7159 Murphy Road, Port Leyden, with second-degree aggravated harassment at 9:40 p.m. Friday.

Deputies said he was arrested after his mother, Mary M. Wadsworth, Black River, filed a formal complaint against him.

Her complaint accuses Mr. Wadsworth of making at least 50 phone calls — some threatening to kill her, her family and himself — since May 21.

He is to appear in Rutland Town Court.
