The top deputy to Agriculture Commissioner Darrel Aubertine was fired over the weekend, the Albany Times-Union reports.

Mr. Aubertine, a former state senator from Cape Vincent, made less than his deputy, who ran day-to-day operations at the department, according to the Times-Union.
