Back now from a week of vacation. For my own purposes and for yours, here's a rundown of stuff that happened while I was away.
Matt Doheny is "not so sure" that the United nations is the best way to maintain relationships with other countries. (Glens Falls Post-Star)

River watchers held a public hearing on a water level plan. (WDT)
Mr. Doheny, a Republican candidate for Congress against Democratic Rep. Bill Owens in November, was featured in a National Republican Congressional Campaign "Young Guns" video, seen here:
Doheny says: "I'd tell them, 'You can't love jobs, and hate the job creators.'"
An interesting side note: Mr. Doheny is seen in the video striding through Public Square in Watertown, right in front of the county Democratic Party headquarters.
