FORT DRUM — The state Senate will recognize soldiers and leadership from the post Wednesday at the state Capitol.

The “10th Mountain Division and Fort Drum Day” celebration, organized by state Sen. Patricia A. Ritchie, R-Heuvelton, will feature several ceremonies acknowledging troops and their contributions to the state. Joining Sen. Ritchie will be Maj. Gen. Mark A. Milley, commander of both the post and 10th Mountain Division.

A color guard will open the Senate’s daily public session. A Blackhawk helicopter fly-by also is scheduled.
