Maria Pavelock, a state Senate hopeful in 2010 and a possible contender for Republican Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush's seat, did not attend Monday's Lewis County Democratic Committee meeting due to an illness, I'm told.

Ms. Pavelock has not responded to my messages requesting comment.
