The stars could be aligning for a Doug Hoffman Assembly run.
The Glens Falls Post-Star reports that a local GOP chairman endorsed a Hoffman bid after Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward announced her retirement last week. That's despite the fact that Mr. Hoffman hasn't said whether he'd get into the race.
But it's something I've heard a few times from Conservatives and conservatives in the district, including Bob White, the Franklin County Conservative Party chairman who said that he didn't want Mr. Hoffman to get into the race for Congress, but would encourage an Assembly run.
LATFOR's proposed Assembly District 114 encompasses Essex County, where Mr. Hoffman lives.
UPDATE:
Mr. Hoffman was interviewed in National Public Radio this morning about his intentions for Congress.
He gave his standard answer about needing to see where the district lines are. But the tone is a bit different than usual. Check it out.
